Stringent Requirements for Raw Materials Suppliers

The evaluation and selection of any supplier/vendor that provides outsourced raw materials and services for Pro Pac Labs, must complete a thorough review of their internal quality control performance standards. This ensures their procedures are consistent and in full compliance with systems we use. Our quality control system requirements are also applicable to all customer-supplied ingredients.

There are different levels of supervision for each supplier. It depends on the type of product or manufacturing process, the raw material’s potential impact on the final product or process, and the vendor’s verifiable past performance. We require that all raw material vendors:

• Provide clear written documentation with delivery of their ingredients.
• Supply a product that is consistent in quality.
• Screen for microbials and possible contaminants with the same level of stringency as Pro Pac Labs prior to delivery.

Pro Pac follows an Inventory freshness program, which consists of the following:

• Sensitive prodructs are kept under temperature controlled conditions.
• All vendors must provide a Certificate of Analysis.
• All products are stored under appropriate environments.
• All vendors are audited and have their products tested through 3rd party labs.

If at any time a vendor falls below Pro Pac Labs strict standards, they are eliminated from our working list. The purchasing department maintains a list of all approved vendors and suppliers.
